Southern train
Ocular migraine
Late again
(n.b. the Ocular migraine stopped me writing more, I just wanted to get home)
Writing bad poetry since I lost patience with Southern Trains. Each poem's length is decided upon by how much of a delay my train has, and how bored I am (which is usually quite bored, as Southern Trains are always delayed).

10th November. Ten Minutes Late
Slippery lines
Keep those trains on time
Except those times
When they're not
Instead everything goes pear shaped
(Though I'm thankful mine isn't 25 minutes late)
Those slippery rails
Only six minutes late
But you can bet that while in this stupid station
There'll be a last minute platform alteration.
Thanks to the slippery lines.

Monday 15th September. 15 Minutes late.
Ah Southern Trains, It's been a while
You nearly made me start to smile
But no, you're back, a disappearing train
I'm probably late for school pickup again.
How daft of me to think you'd change
Instead I'm feeling full of rage
So come on Southern, sort it out
If you spring a last-minute platform alteration on me I'll shout.
You nearly made me start to smile
But no, you're back, a disappearing train
I'm probably late for school pickup again.
How daft of me to think you'd change
Instead I'm feeling full of rage
So come on Southern, sort it out
If you spring a last-minute platform alteration on me I'll shout.
Or just mouth off on my Facebook wall.

Wednesday 1st July
Southern Trains you've lost the plot
Trains delayed because it's hot
But I'm delayed with no arrival time
Suspect this may be a long rhyme...
This happens almost every day
I should be used to it
But no, it happens again and again
I really think you're a bit
Rubbish.
All the trains just say 'delayed' on the display
Which doesn't really help me much today.
At all.

29th July
Oh Southern Trains, the internet lied
A mystery train back home I spied.
So now I'm waiting and I'm going to be late (thanks to delays)
Oh Southern Trains, It's you I hate.
A simple appointment we need to go
But it's all buggered up; I hate you so.
If only you'd bother to run on time
Then I wouldn't have to think of a silly rhyme.

12th June
Ah Southern Trains
It's Friday, great.
A platform alteration
Just two minutes late.

5th June
Southern Trains
I love you so
No delays this time
Like 'sun on the line'
Southern Trains,
I had a plan
But I had to sit opposite a man
As I wanted because I was able
To sit in a seat which had a table.
The man's Kindle took up the space
and I couldn't get a look in his face
To tell him to shift it over a bit
and to be honest, I felt like a twit.
